Ski
Both the Bellevue Hotel, located on Harrachov's main ski slope itself, and the Karolina, located just 200metres from the main Ski Lift and Cable Car, are ideally situated for skiers, whether you are expert, intermediate or beginner.

The cable-car runs continuously during winter months from 8am-6pm, and during the summer season it runs every 30 minutes from 8 am- 6pm. It is closed during November for maintenance. Our hotels sell cards offering a 15 % discount for cable-car tickets.

For the more experienced or more daring, you could try one of Harrachov's five ski jumps, in the knowledge that the Ski-Jump World Cup took place here in 1983 (on the K-180 jump) while the World Championship took place in 1992.

Brewery & Glass Factory Visits
For only 6 euros, you can visit the local Novosad Glass factory (Sklar) and finish off a fascinating tour with a tasting of the local beer straight from the brewery.

The Sklar Factory is a 2 minute walk from the Karolina Hotel, and during the tour you can watch local craftsmen at work, handblowing and crafting glass works and artifacts right in front of your eyes. Glass making has been a tradition in Harrachov and the region dating back to the 17th century. If you like what you see, you can even buy the end product directly from the Factory Shop.

Golf
A 9 hole Golf Course, situated in beautiful forest surroundings, is only 2,5 km from the Karolina Hotel, and we are able to arrange green fee discounts for individual guests and groups. Also we can also arrange for instruction with a professional golf coach.

Background on Harrachov
- Harrachov is a small town situated near the border with Poland (2 minutes drive by the E65), is c.700m above sea level. Much of the land surrounding Harrachov is National Park, with trails, hikes, waterfalls and forest.

- The main Bus Station is about a 15 minutes' by walk from both the Bellevue and the Karolina hotel (Karolina also Bus station in front of hotel); the train Station is c. 3 km from hotel

- walking, riding and mountainbiking are all possible in the Harrachov area, with tailor made trips that we can organize for you.

- The "Mumlava Waterfall", located in deep in the mountain forest, is approximately 40 minutes' walk from both of our hotels, and is highly recommended during summer and autumn months.

- Turnov - a beautiful natural park known as "Czech Paradise" - on the way you will see Castles of Hrubý Rohozec and Sychrov
- Liberec - visit the historical centre of the town, Zoo, Botanic Gardens, or go shopping in "Babyln Town ", or go visit Aquapark with water-slides and family amusements. Note that a return bus service from Harrachov to Liberec "Town Babylon" is available every Tuesday and Thursday. We can obtain 10% discounts for day tickets for you.

POLAND:
Harrachov is about 3km from the border with Poland, with the towns of Szklarska Poreba (visit this for the waterfalls) and Jelenia Góra (come here to visit its open markets) within easy reach of the Hotel, being about 30 minutes away by car.

ACCESS
Road - Harrachov is readily accessible from the previously mentioned international road E-65 from Prague or via road No.14 from Trutnov, Jilemnice, Liberec, Jablonec nad Nisou and Tanvald.

Coach services - connect Harrachov with Prague, Brno, Hradec Králové, Liberec and with Polish Jelení Hora.

Rail - The Tanvald to Harrachov line also connects to Jablonec nad Nisou and to the main Pardubice-Liberec line.
